WOW. I'm speechless. Thank you all for viewing my gallery, thank you for all the comments (it's going to take infinity to read them all) and thank you also for all the favs. A special thank you to Michael [link] for your touching words about fractal art and your understanding of what it is that I enjoy and try to achieve with Ultra Fractal. It's not just about art, it's about the association with fractal mathematics and the world we live in, its applications to the real world, and an appreciation of Benoit Mandelbrot's achievements.

Thank you Mary [link] for suggesting my artwork for a DD. You work very hard for everyone whether they are interested in fractal art or not, and I'm so glad you are a friend. Thank you also to Jeff [link] for featuring my image, and also for your acceptance to the fractal gallery, your understanding of what it is that I have tried to achieve here and the hard work that you have put in to promote fractal art.

I'm overwhelmed by it all. You've all given me a much needed boost to keep going and it's a real pleasure to share my artwork with you.

Thanks
Heather

Wow. Thank you very much Michael for your comment. I very much appreciate your words and understand where you are coming from with regards to "much all the same". I couldn't agree with you more and there are a few artists here who really do try and create something different from fractal art. I don't have a particular style but my intentions have always been the same - to get others interested in mathematics, even if they don't understand it, and to do what Benoit has done, show that fractal mathematics is all around us, in nature, in engineering and in art. Benoit Mandelbrot's discoveries have been an inspiration, a driving force, an obsession even, for many years and he has tried hard to educate others, gain an interest and be accepted amongst the mathematical community. He has achieved all this, and in my opinion, he is one of the greatest mathematicians of our time, now applying fractal mathematics to the real world. I'm honoured to be associated with him and honoured to use his mathematics with art. Your comment is worth 1 million to me since you understand what it is I do. Many, many thanks for taking the time to view my gallery and many, many thanks for appreciating fractal art.

Honestly, I'm usually not a big fan of fractal art. Many people don't really make the most out of the utterly complex world of fractals and somehow don't manage to catch my interest, as they are pretty much all the same.

Now, your gallery is different. A lot of fresh ideas and the super high quality make your work outstanding. That's what I expect from someone who dares to name herself after Benoit "Mr. Fractal" Mandelbrot ;)
Let me applaude you on the so well deserved DD, which brought me here, and keep up the excellent work, I'm most impressed :ahoy:

Thank you Julia. I have promised to print some of my artwork but been so busy recently with exhibitions (they do all the printing thankfully. I just have to render them large enough). I will definately get some printed, maybe not through DA. Will have to shop around and find the best prints at affordable prices. If anyone can recommend a good print service, I would appreciate some info. Thanks again Julia, so glad you enjoy these images.

Thanks for visiting my gallery. Yes I do have more images at Renderosity & on my own site. There are some earlier images there and some new ones I never had time to upload here.

Thank you. I'm very glad that you enjoy the poetry I include.

I do hope that he has learned his lesson and is remorseful.

I also hope that we can look forward to more of your exceptional fractal art here. :)

Hi

I don't mind at all. You put my images to good use and keep them within DA. Your poems are lovely too and you always link back to my gallery. That's a very considerate thing to do. As for the stolen art - all artists images have now been removed from his gallery, phew. Words cannot describe how angry and upset I was to see so many artists' works being passed off as his own. He's learnt a very hard lesson and I think he is genuinely remorseful for his actions. Time will only tell if this is the case.

I just wanted to let you know that I've included another of your fabulous fractals, The Candles Still Burn, in my journal. As always, if you would prefer that I not use it, let me know and I'll remove it. :thanks:

I'm sorry to hear about someone stealing your art. Some people have no conscience. :shakefist:
